It all started in the trenches with Chambers, non-profits, and a whole lot of coffee.
Before I was the "Canadian AI Guy," I spent over a decade running a marketing agency, Octopus Creative. My clients weren't big corporations; they were people like you. I spent countless hours in the back rooms of community halls and boardrooms, helping organizations on a shoestring budget try to make a big impact.

I saw the same story over and over: passionate leaders buried under a mountain of administrative work, trying to do more with less. So, we even built our own software, ChamberRM, just to help them automate the tedious stuff.
I learned firsthand that the problem wasn't a lack of passion. It was a lack of time, resources, and the right tools for the job.
Then came the "Holy smokes!" moment with AI.
When AI tools first hit the mainstream, I was all in from day one. While the naysayers were still debating if it was a fad, I was obsessed—not with the hype, but with its raw potential to solve the exact problems I'd been witnessing for years.

This was it. This was the tool that could finally level the playing field. The ultimate time-saver. The force multiplier for small teams with big missions. While others have recently become "AI Experts," I've been in the weeds with this tech since the beginning, driven by a genuine curiosity to make it work for people like us.
So, I hung up my agency hat and doubled-doubled down on one thing: becoming the go-to guy for practical, no-nonsense AI training for Canadian community organizations.
My philosophy is pretty simple, really.
We'll turn confusion into a clear, actionable plan in three simple steps.

Keep it real.
We're Canadians. We appreciate straight talk. I'll give you the straight goods on what works, what doesn't, and what's just a bunch of hocus pocus. No 🐂💩, ever.

People first, tech second.
A tool is only useful if it helps a real person solve a real problem. We always start with your goals, not the technology.

Community is everything.
I believe that when our local businesses and organizations thrive, we all win. My work is dedicated to strengthening the fabric of our communities, from coast-to-coast-to-coast.

Around here, one size fits... well, one. The challenges of a Chamber are a whole different hockey game than a Downtown BIA's. Pick your player below to see the specific AI playbook I've built just for your world.
When I'm not nerding out about AI...
You can usually find me trying to keep up with my two kids, out on Harrison Lake with my wife, Ashleigh, volunteering with our local fire department, or hitting the local trails for a hike. I'm a firm believer that the best ideas don't come from sitting in front of a screen all day.
